# Original Jev-Omni speech experiment: WAV source mapping

These ten original English Chatterbox Turbo WAVs are the accepted A01–A10 inputs from the completed Jev-Omni synthetic study. Each is copied byte-for-byte and linked to the frozen selection and actual saved decisions. This mapping supplies the authoritative experiment references and results; a new NotebookLM transcript does not change them.

Upload the WAVs if spoken-source transcripts help your narration. [Google's source guide](https://support.google.com/gemininotebook/answer/16215270?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en) supports speech WAV import and transcribes the audio into text. That lets NotebookLM use a transcript, not reproduce the original waveform/tone classification or rerun Jev-Omni. Upload this mapping alongside the WAVs. Classification was by the common loaded Jev-Omni predictor on the full WAV bytes; it did not receive the expected reference label or the ASR transcript as a substitute audio input.

The intended utterance below comes from the preregistered fictional fixture, not a claim of perfectly verified spoken wording. Independent transcripts are saved unprompted CPU Whisper outputs plus semantic review. No human listening or guaranteed lexical truth is claimed. A01 retains an uncertain join; A07/A09 used targeted base.en fallbacks to resolve tiny.en wording issues. No new transcription, generation or inference was run to make this mapping.

Exact submitted question: Is the audible customer message a complaint or an ordinary inquiry?

Exact submitted state: Assess only the audible customer message. A complaint expresses dissatisfaction with a prior service or product outcome, an unmet obligation or error, or seeks a remedy for a failure. Ordinary inquiries ask factual, prospective, or status questions without asserting failure. Politeness does not remove a complaint.

Forward choices: Complaint; Ordinary inquiry. Reverse choices: Ordinary inquiry; Complaint.

| Clip | Frozen reference | Jev-Omni forward | Jev-Omni reverse | Duration | Bytes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | ---: | ---: |
| A01 | Complaint | Complaint | Complaint | 10.640 s | 510,764 |
| A02 | Complaint | Complaint | Complaint | 8.960 s | 430,124 |
| A03 | Complaint | Complaint | Complaint | 7.320 s | 351,404 |
| A04 | Complaint | Complaint | Complaint | 9.600 s | 460,844 |
| A05 | Complaint | Complaint | Complaint | 9.280 s | 445,484 |
| A06 | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | 5.240 s | 251,564 |
| A07 | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | 7.960 s | 382,124 |
| A08 | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | 8.120 s | 389,804 |
| A09 | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | 8.760 s | 420,524 |
| A10 | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | Ordinary inquiry | 7.800 s | 374,444 |

Both orders match 10/10 references, with zero label flips across ten pairs. These are ten unique English synthetic inputs, not twenty independent samples. Audio accuracy does not establish a language improvement, general complaint detection or robust tone/emotion understanding. No Clef audio comparison was performed.

## A01 — Complaint

File: `A01_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> The tracking page says my parcel was delivered yesterday, but it never arrived. I checked the front door and asked my neighbours. Please find out where it went and arrange delivery or a refund.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> The tracking page says my parcel was delivered yesterday, but it never arrived. I checked the front door and asked my neighbors. Please find out where it went in a range delivery or a refund.

Independent semantic observation: Both unprompted ASR models recover the explicit parcel-delivered-but-never-arrived assertion, checks with neighbors, and request to find the parcel or refund. These independently establish a failed delivery and remedy request. The join before delivery is rendered in a range by both models; its exact lexical rendering remains uncertain and is not needed for the complaint label. The raw span is retained, not rewritten.

Earlier tiny.en transcript:

> The tracking page says my parcel was delivered yesterday, but it never arrived. I checked the front door and asked my neighbors. Please find out where it went in a range delivery or a refund.

Targeted base.en fallback was already part of original verification. Both transcripts render in a range delivery; exact join not verified. Binary complaint ground truth rests on the independently clear never-arrived failure and refund request.

## A02 — Complaint

File: `A02_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> I ordered one desk lamp, but my card was charged twice for the same order. The two payments have both posted. Could you please reverse the extra charge?

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> I ordered one desk lamp, but my card was charged twice for the same order. The two payments have both posted. Could you please reverse the extra charge?

Independent semantic observation: The speaker says one order produced two posted card payments and asks to reverse the extra charge. This asserts an existing billing error and requests a remedy.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

File: `A03_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> The kettle arrived this morning with a cracked handle, so I cannot use it safely. Please tell me how to get a replacement for the damaged one.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> The kettle arrived this morning with a cracked handle, so I cannot use it safely. Please tell me how to get a replacement for the damaged one.

Independent semantic observation: The speaker reports a cracked kettle handle received this morning, inability to use it safely, and requests a replacement for the damaged item.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

## A04 — Complaint

File: `A04_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> Hello, I know your team is busy. You said someone would call me back by Tuesday, and it is Thursday now. I have not heard from anyone. Could you please arrange that callback?

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> Hello, I know your team is busy. You said someone would call me back by Tuesday and it is Thursday now. I have not heard from anyone. Could you please arrange that callback?

Independent semantic observation: The polite speaker contrasts a promised Tuesday callback with Thursday now, explicitly says not heard from anyone, and asks to arrange that callback. The missed obligation remains explicit.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

> I tried the new notebook this week. The pages are thinner than I expected, and ink shows through when I write. It is a little disappointing. Is there anything you can do about it?

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> I tried the new notebook this week. The pages are thinner than I expected and ink shows through when I write. It is a little disappointing. Is there anything you can do about it?

Independent semantic observation: The speaker says notebook pages are thinner than expected, ink shows through, calls this a little disappointing, and asks what can be done. Mild dissatisfaction and remedy request are explicit.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

## A06 — Ordinary inquiry

File: `A06_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> Hi, what time does your shop open on Saturdays? I would like to visit before lunch.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> Hi, what time does your shop open on Saturdays? I would like to visit before lunch.

Independent semantic observation: The speaker asks Saturday shop opening time to plan a visit before lunch. The transcript contains no previous failure or dissatisfaction.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

WAV source: `2026-10-02-jev-omni-40-synthetic/attempts/A06-attempt-00/asset.wav`; SHA-256 `6e237b86d8c3f23de45baa7b0d03875983515fca29e9844d6710f87a2b976607`. ## A07 — Ordinary inquiry

File: `A07_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> If I place an order for the blue chair today, when would you expect it to arrive? I have not ordered yet and am planning a room update.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> If I place an order for the blue chair today, when would you expect it to arrive? I have not ordered yet and am planning a room update.

Independent semantic observation: Base.en recovers the prospective if-I-place-an-order question, explicitly not ordered yet, and planning a room update. This resolves tiny.en implanting rendering and confirms no asserted prior service failure.

Earlier tiny.en transcript:

> If I place an order for the blue chair today, when would you expect it to arrive? I have not ordered yet an implanting a room update.

Targeted base.en fallback was already part of original verification. The accepted transcript above reflects the recorded resolution; it is still ASR-assisted evidence rather than human listening.

## A08 — Ordinary inquiry

File: `A08_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> Could you explain your return policy for an unopened item? I am comparing gift options and would like to know the return window before buying.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> Could you explain your return policy for an unopened item? I am comparing gift options and would like to know the return window before buying.

Independent semantic observation: The speaker asks unopened-item return policy while comparing gifts before buying. Returns are a prospective policy inquiry; no defective purchase or failed service is asserted.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.

## A09 — Ordinary inquiry

File: `A09_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> My order is due to arrive next Friday, so it is still within the promised time. Could you tell me whether it has been packed yet? I just want to plan when to be home.

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> My order is due to arrive next Friday, so it is still within the promised time. Could you tell me whether it has been packed yet? I just want to plan when to be home.

Independent semantic observation: Base.en explicitly recovers next Friday, still within the promised time, whether it has been packed yet, and planning when to be home. This resolves tiny.en grammatical rendering; there is no missed deadline or dissatisfaction.

Earlier tiny.en transcript:

> My order is due to arrive next Friday, so to still within the promised time. Could you tell me whether it has been packed yet? I just want to plan one to be home.

Targeted base.en fallback was already part of original verification. The accepted transcript above reflects the recorded resolution; it is still ASR-assisted evidence rather than human listening.

## A10 — Ordinary inquiry

File: `A10_original.wav`; full native audio, mono 24 kHz PCM16, no truncation.

Intended original utterance:

> I am happy with the speaker and I am not complaining. I just need a little help pairing it with my tablet. Which button should I hold to start pairing?

Independent saved transcript (verbatim ASR text, leading whitespace trimmed):

> I'm happy with the speaker and I am not complaining. I just need a little help pairing it with my tablet. Which button should I hold to start pairing?

Independent semantic observation: The speaker explicitly says happy with the speaker and not complaining, then asks which button starts tablet pairing. This is satisfied usage help without an asserted defect.

Transcript caveat: unprompted tiny.en plus semantic review; no targeted fallback was required in the saved receipt, and exact lexical rendering is not guaranteed.
